Why black people dont like giving money to charity

How many times have you seen a starving image of an African and turned the page turned a blind eye to their plight so what? They may be black but why should I donate they are not my relatives they speak a different language and have an accent. They aren’t from my hood so why should I care?


Now imagine a white person sees a picture of a starving European but lives in America this is what they will say 'oh my gosh my poor European descendants needs my help and I will donate ASAP'! That would be their answer.

Being of Ethiopian descendent I’m fully aware that giving is not in our culture we only donate money to needy relatives and the church who have millions of dollars of money, people think if they donate to the church they will go to heaven (selfish reasons again). This is why the Ethiopian famine happened those starving northerners were forgotten unless they had a relative in the town centre to help them, the nation including the government watched them starve they did not care. I am increasingly becoming frustrated that black people do not care when their people are starving and it’s always the white people to come to the rescue with a big save east, north, south Africa campaign why is this? I will list the possibilities:



1) Selfish: we could blame it on slavery but as far as I’m concerned there was no slavery in Ethiopia so that doesn’t count. They are quick to run to war and defend a barren dry land but when people are starving they turn a blind eye.



2) Clannish divided mentality why should I help those people they are not from my tribe they are not my relatives, when they think of each others as hostile enemies it’s easier to ignore them when they are in trouble and starving hence why no one will care.



3) I don’t know but there is a culture of bragging if you see the music videos like rap they only rap about one thing money yes they finally got money and everyone is jealous of them how many times do we have to hear this!. Here are a few lyrics rappers re-cycle over and over again.

4) There is always a culture of jealousy and hostility in all black communities maybe I am generalizing but there is a lot of hating they don’t want you to do better than them so if there are a lots of starving Africans subconsciously they’re probably thinking ‘oh I’m doing better than them at least who knows in some weird psycho way (I’m trying to be clever here) It’s better to state the obvious than pretend it doesn’t exist in our community because it does. Black people generally live for themselves think to benefit them only and their children but not others from poorer backgrounds as they are competing with them in every way. Due to the lack of community and organized support there are more poorer black people in America and Africa because of the way they think.

The Donkey Library

The donkey library is a new initiative set up by Link Ethiopia to have a mobile library on a donkey or a mule to reach highland regions in Ethiopia where there are no roads. I think this is a wonderful idea and a great way of helping education in rural forgotten regions. These children do not have access to any means of books and resources they are virtually cut off and people should support this charity as education will help these children out of poverty.

The meaning of the new phrase Afro Centric

Afro centric is the word used to describe an intelligent black person who doesn’t believe what he is told to believe by the mainstream white society. These new phrase is used by western so called educated ‘the truth’ theories of established Ivy League anthropologists and historians. They paint the brush on all black anthropologists and historians as Afro Centric, because they refuse to follow a dated bias racist view of the world and history starting from evolution of mankind, eugenics to African history ancient and modern.
A lot of historians spend a lot of time and energy on Darwinism and evolving from monkeys and seem to have this view that Africans are the primitive of all humankind and are closer to animals. This is far from the truth Africans have the most underestimated culture in the world. As a result of peoples lack of knowledge of the continent historians end up writing a whole lot of thesis and books on people with a hint of falseness and bias. When these black educated historians challenge the views held about them they are called Afro centric and members of the Black Panther movement. Things are changing thanks to the internet and more of these so called black historians are getting a lot of support from people who are not happy with the general upheld view of black people and their history. I have actually heard of children challenging historians in school thanks to the internet they have a broader view of the world and are smart to not just believe what they are being told to believe, This is wonderful people are waking up not just black people even all races they are starting to challenge the upheld view of people of all cultures not just a couple of elite educated people from two universities of the world.

The fuss over Tiger Woods?

I still do not understand the fuss over Tiger Woods infidelity. Why is the media treating him as if hes the first man to ever cheat on a woman. Does him being black mean he has to be faithful because hes landed the ultimate prize a beautiful blond woman since becoming a golfing legend. David Beckham has always cheated on his wife and even smiles when Victoria is going through pain, yet the media never said a bad thing about David. Tiger Woods is being made to apologize and take time out to save his family apparantly, hes doing no different to what all those other athletes are doing yet because hes with a white woman and happens to be black its a crime.
 Its also obvious the court will be racist towards Tiger and make sure his wife takes the majorty of all his money. As much as I feel sorry for him I also do not, because black men like him who finally make it in the world only marry white women to fit into the world.. They choose to marry these women for the wrong reasons and the woman for one reason money ££$$, so when the woman decides to leave him she clears all his money backed with with the press's blessing. Marrying a white woman doesnt prevent you from escaping racism and sheltering behind her is not going to save you, those vultures are waiting for things to go wrong and then your wife will also become one of those vultures when lawyers and money is involved, lets face it you both come from different worlds anyway. All these black celebs who married white women all their marriage has ended with the athletes name in tatters, broke or in a loony bin.

Journalists are the most hated people in Ethiopia

It must be rather frustrating for the journalists of Ethiopia they have very limited topics to talk about incase it offends the rulling party who have a iron grip on the country in everyway from the economy to the choice of music thats played from their cars. Patriotic music is banned and superstar singer like Teddy Afro are thrown in prison and released to subdue him and join the oligarchy and stop giving free public uplifting conerts. Journalists are persecuted if their article has a hint of insulting the government in anyway, they must write articles that praise the governements work only and ignore the negative things around like the extreme hunger and poverty the sale children to every tourist who can buy one child get the sibling free. The jouranlists are banned from reporting the high number of Ethiopian maids murdered or comitting suicide due to inhumane working conditions in Arab countries. These women are routinely picked and promised work by government agencies that exports the women for a fee. So many Ethiopian private magazines are closing down because of a word or an article or a picture of the lion judah, its becoming hard for them to ignore the lack of freedom of speech and freedom to support another political party so they are the prisoners of all because they are being told what to write with a gun pointing at them. Journalists are good informers and keep politicians in check and in line they are the windows to what is going on the governement which politician bought a yatch using food aid money. In England is a country which respects journalists. Politicians of Ethiopia are the richest not only do they rule with mafia like behaviour, they also own lots of businesses. Private investors have no chance with government owned businesses. The government owned businesses create bogus laws such as taking away of land and rebuking licences, if they feel somonelse is a threat to them. They misuse the law and take advantage of their postition, journalists are forced to ignore these injustices and accept it. Most journalists are supporting local business ran by hard working members of the public, who are not pouring in bribery money or have soldiers to scare the competition. They operate in covert ways of informing the public in what is happening, their meanings have a double meaning like the ancient Ethiopian tradition of sem ena work which means wax and gold. However on the internet its a different story Ethiopian political refugees grill the ethiopian rulling party EPRF on banned websites that cannot be seen in Ethiopia. Office Parties and Dramas

Office politics is politics that happens as soon as you step into the office building past the very bored receptionist who doesnt do anything but stare at your new outfit or if it happened to have been a windy morning snigger at your messy hair which was neat before you left home.
In the office you have to behave a certain way, being emotional is not encouraged and is seen as a weakness unless your leaving to say goodbye. Office christmas parties are a continuation of work poltics however under the influence of alcohol it becomes very hard to keep up with the jones's. So it becomes a dragons pitt to see who falls on the floor first, who flirts and gets turned down but styles out. Its a glass house where one is very aware of their surroundings and is trying not to look desprate and awkward so, they will make some one else who gives them a chance make them look stupid and create a scene. I remember one christmas party I went to a couple of years ago, a very pretty naive girl decides to come to the christmas party lets call her Helen. Helen had on her nice cleavage showing top and let her long black silky hair down. Now none of the girls wanted to stand next to her so they ignored her, the problem with this girl is she doesnt know how to play office christmas party politics, she wanted some of the guys attention but didnt do it in a smart way she would be very loud and liked the attention the guys gave her. Now they wouldnt mind flirting with her alone, but when they spoke to her she made it a show and the guy involved didnt like that attention from the rest of the wall flowers, who were not happy this pretty flower was stealing their chance of getting a guy.  So the guy in the party realising his moves are causing a scene decides to step back and talk to the office ugly bitch who controls the show. So what happened was poor Helen felt rather isolated and was not used to being treated this way, she normally gets what she wants and couldnt understand why all the guys even the average looking guys, would not flirt with and are avoiding her. Could she have turned ugly in that past hour? She goes through emotions and also backed by alcohol makes a scene. The office hunk decides to look for his coat on the pile of stacked coats and accidentley drops Helens clutch bag on the floor. As it fell the bag opened  and the contents fell out, of which was  her pink lip gloss a tampon and her sparkly pink blackberry. Now Helen realises her sacred pink possesions where on the floor for the preying eyes to see, panicks and rushes to the floor when she realises it was the office hunk who threw the bag she yelps my bag! Thinking he will rush to pick up her items he simply says 'im sorry it fell off by mistake.' Now Helen already was feeling upset at the whole night and just bursts out crying. Now the office hunk, panics as all eyes turn on him as Helen cries her eyes out from a distance it looks like a lovers tiff oh and Helen did cry him a river. The girls ran to Helen and comfort her. What happened? they ask, she couldnt speak as she was wailing and gulping, you wouldnt think it was because her bag fell on the floor. The office hunk is seen as the villain, he panics and says 'I havent done anything all I said was it was a mistake that her bag fell, Im not apologizing! He gets even more frustrated with every crocodile tear she cries, the office party becomes a scene from the Bold and the Beautiful with a damsell in distress and villain in the side line huffing and puffing.

Are Black Women Slaves To Their Hair?

Some angry black woman had a right old rant on News week online website yesterday about Zahara Pitt's hair being unruly and a 'hot mess'. She said how Angie had no idea how to handle black hair and when Zarah looks at her pictures when she is older, she will feel neglected. Just who does this woman think she is insulting a 4 year olds hair because it is not relaxed? Zahara has lovely curly hair that most mixed raced children and most Ethiopians have. It does not require perming or hot combing it is soft. Is she envious and wishes she had the 4 year olds hair? As she sounds very bitter and darn rude. Its a fact a lot of black women are slaves of their hair they spend every minute weaving perming going through hours at the hair dressers, to disguise its natural texture, its like they have a fear or a denial of it. Its so sad that they put their young daughters through hours of agony and dunking of hair grease and perming and relaxing at such a young age. No wonder why when they reach 20 they hardly have any hair left and resort to weave. Tell me what is wrong with natural kinks and curls what God intended you to have? What is wrong with rocking a natural fro? Didn't India Arie say I am not my hair so how come a large population of black women have become that a walking hair?. Ive heard stories how black women have put weave before food most of their pay cheque goes on their hair, an over styled heap of dead woman's hair or synthetic hair from Korea.
I actually have long curly hair but like Zahara hated it being over styled as I have a sensitive head, so would have lose pony tails and would have a curly fro just like her when I was a toddler. Can someone tell me what is wrong with that? Black women need to understand it is only hair, protein, if you cut it it will grow back what is the big deal? There is more to a black woman than her hair yet there are ignorant small minded people like the author of that article who judge black women and babies on the texture of their hair how foolish.

Eri TV is it Hate TV?

Eri TV besides Osama Bin ladens/Alshabab TV and North Korean TV is the only TV that encourages open racism towards other countries. Since its opening in 1991 it has managed to brainwash a large population of Eritreans to hate Ethiopia to enlist the nation to kill Ethiopians after 30 years in the jungle wasn't enough. Hateful propaganda can create sheep like people who will not question but will follow the leader;who is usually and ignorant man who has no alternative resolutions but to kill torture or imprison his opponents or anyone who doesn't have his ignorant views. Some people lack intelligence to question and those that are smart usually desert the country or are probably dead.

They write on websites and encourage more of a divide between Ethiopians and Eritreans, create a 'we are better than them attitude' and uphold the hostile attitude which was told to them day and night growing up in Eritrea and listening to relatives. If only these people researched a little bit more and read history they will know that all this hostility resulted because of white colonialists creating hostility and war so they can rule the land and steal African resource's. The Italians have done it and the Russians have done it too. The Russians are the biggest hoovers of them all, while Ethiopia and Somalia where at war in the eighties they were busy taking all the gold in the country. Africans have always been receptive of foreigners coming in bringing their ideologies changing their religions from paganism to Jesuits to Muslim to Catholics and to extreme islamists like al queida to fascism to socialism and every darn ism's in the whole world. When are they finally going to stand up and say, no I will not be your sheep, you are not my master, I will not kill my black brother. I don't want to follow your strange custom of chopping hands and marrying up to ten wives; or grow a beard and smoke weed. I want to live in peace I want to see nice buildings and educate our nation, not with your racist propaganda crap!

Ethiopian influence on Arabia before Islam

Ethiopia and Arabia had pleanty of history before Islam and there is historical evidence that the ancient Ethiopians introduced christianity in Yemen and Saudia Arabia. There was also a large settlement of Ethiopians living in Arabia. Everybody has this idea that it was the ancient Arabs who moved to Ethiopia to create the Axum empire when it was the other way round. The Ethiopians came from the highlands and migrated to Arabia for trade and war purposes. What makes this also interesting is Ethiopia was christian before most of the world so a missionary didnt come on the basis to save an unbeliever nomads life. The king embraced Christianity changing the state religion to christianity and was so touched he tried to bring it to the middle east, imagine a black missionary they must have been miffed? (an ancient toga wearing one) At this time the only people that were christian is the people of the ancient world around Nubia Egypt Syria and in Rome. The ancient Ethiopians had an established empire and that stretched from the whole of the horn of Africa till halve of Egypt and India. Yet the world historians are adament to destroy history and associate anyone who is dark brown and from Africa with slavery. It just shows how the western world is not willing to accept the truth. Any free standing statues that are clearly in Africa are explained to have been built by invaders sometimes aliens as Africans are not capable of building such sophisticated sculptures, they live the simple life of throwing spears at rabbits and running away from lions. Its even sad when people that are not african such as Arabs take credit for such manual invloved tasks as building pyramids and of stocky men with broad noses. When I saw the frankinsence trail on the BBC the presenter went to Najran where the famouse Ethiopian and Persian battle took place. I even spotted old GEEZ writing on the walls and was amazed to find the inscription still there which proves the Ethiopians had lived there she did however mention the massacre of 20.000 Ethiopian christians but did not mention that they were Ethiopian nor did she mention that the Ethiopian Emperor at the time was so horrified he got a large army of Ethiopians and Nubians soldiers under Abraha and defeated the persians jewish Himyarits that did this and controlled Yemen and Saudi for 70years before they got ousted back into the highlands after the rise of Islam. Ancient Ethiopian Invasion of Southern Arabia

About one century before the birth of Islam, Abyssinia played a significant role in the region of Arabia, more influencing than that of the other neighbours. Two centuries before Islam, namely at the end of the fourth century A.D., the king of Yemen embraced Judaism, and thereby Judaism became the state religion of that land. Then a man named Dhunuvas in Yemen decided to put pressure upon everyone who did not follow the Jewish faith. Then reports reached him that in Najran, a city in neighbouring Hejaz Christianity was spreading. Dhunuvas launched a campaign against Najran, and started persecuting and killing people. He had trenches filled with fire and cast the Christians of Najran into those. One of the Christians of Najran fled to the court of the Roman emperor, and said to him "You call yourself the emperor of Christians, see what are they doing to us Christians there." The Emperor answered that he was too far from that land, but "We have a coreligionist in the Emperor of Abyssinia to whom I will write to come to your assistance." This incident has been recorded in Islamic as well as European sources in an identical manner. The Emperor of Abyssinia dispatched an army to Yemen under a commander named Eryat. among whose officers was a man called Abraha. The army entered Yemen and Dhunuvas was defeated, who in his flight jumped into the sea with his horse and met his end. In this way Yemen became a colony of Abyssinia, and Eryat. its governor. They tried to propagate Christianity in Yemen which led to an incident between Eryat. and Abraha which we will proceed to recount in the following.
d) The Story of Abraha
Abraha was a competent officer in Eryat's army who did not think much of his commander, and so he decided to wrest power from him, and with the aid of his subordinates rose against Eryat.
The Abyssinians got divided into two groups: one group supported Abraha, while the other favourcd Eryat, and got ready to fight. On the day of battle Abraha sent a message for Eryat, saying that it was futile for the Abyssinians to kill each other, and added: "As the dispute is between you and me, let the two of us have a man-to-man fight, and let the victor take the command of the army " Eryat w agreed and in the fight he was killed and Abraha took the reins of power in his hands. Negus, emperor of Abyssinia, was enraged on hearing that the second in command has killed his appointed supreme commander, and swore that he would not rest until he had trampled upon the soil of Yemen and pulled off the hairs of Abraha.
The report reached Abraha that the Emperor was greatly annoyed with him. He filled a box with the soil of Yemen and ordered the hair of his head be shaved off and sent it to the Emperor along with a number of gifts and presents. He sent an accompanying message that he was sorry that the Emperor had become annoyed with him whereas he remained his loyal servant. He added that two of the Emperor's officers had a fight and one overcame the other and that the honour of the Emperor was in no way involved. He appealed that in order to honour the Emperor's oath, he was sending both his hairs and Yemeni soil for. the Emperor to trample on. The emperor was so pleased at this cleverness that he confrrmed him in his appointment as commander in Yemen, and Abraha proceeded to impose Christianity upon the people.[68]
He decided to spread Christianity in Yemen and uproot Judaism and every other faith in the land. Abraha's close associates told him that all his efforts were just confined to Yemen whereas the people of the Arabian peninsula were devoted to another place, namely the Kaaba in Mecca, owing to its age old standing and high prestige and that he should take steps in that direction. Incidentally Abraha had built a very fine church in the capital of Yemen and has adorned it with the most beautiful stones, including the stones remaining from the ancient palace of the Queen of Shiba. But when he noticed that his beautiful church had little attraction for the people against the simple stone structure in Mecca, he decided to do whatever possible to end the influence of the Ka'aba.
e) The Event of Aam-ul-Feel
Meanwhile a rumour spread among the people that Abraha had decided to demolish the Ka'aba. This caused a commotion among certain Arab people, and one Arab, hearing of Abraha's intention, went to Yemen, entered the church at night and polluted it with- his urine. This incident enraged Abraha and the Christians. They told him that, that was how much the Arabs respected his Church! Abraha asked what was the reason for that? They replied because they were devoted to Ka'aba in their heart of hearts and the news that you intended to destroy the Ka'aba had reached them. Abraha said that if that was the way it was, when it was no more than a rumour, then he was decided to destroy Ka'aba. He mobilised his forces and proceeded towards Mecca, and on his way vanquished all the Arab tribes that offered any resistance. On approaching Mecca he sent a messenger to find out whoever was the chief of Mecca and to summon him. He was informed that the chief of Mecca was an old man named Abdul-Mutallib. But before he could be contacted, Abraha's soldiers plundered all the sheep, cows and camels around Mecca including two hundred camels belonging to Abdul-Mutallib. After consulting his friends Abdul-Mut.allib decided to pay a visit to Abraha. The latter arranged a formal audience, sitting upon a throne and surrounded by his officers. It is said that when Abdul-Mutallib entered, Abraha was so impressed by his dignity and bearing that he descended from his throne, sat down on a mattress and asked Abdul-Mutallib to sit beside him. This dignified carriage is what the historians call the radiance of prophethood in the bodies of the prophet's ancestors.
Abraha said to him: "I have no issue with the people of Mecca. Abdul-Mutallib advised him against his intention, but he refused to change his mind. Abdul-Mutallib answered the reason why he did not intercede for the Ka'aba was that he realised that the people of Mecca had no power to resist Abraha's forces, and Ka'aba had its owner who is Allah and He would take care of His own house. Abraha was moved at these words, but he felt that he had come to carry out a mission. So he ordered the return of Abdul-Mutallib's camels to him, and warned the people of Mecca to evacuate the city and take refuge in the neighbouring hills. The people evacuated the city at once to prevent the loss of life, and Abraha prepared to demolish the Ka'aba with the aid of his army and the elephants which he had brought with him. This story has been narrated differently by Arab and European historians. The Greek and European version is that an epidemic of typhoid and smallpox at that time so annihilated Abraha's army that they could not carry out the attack. But the Islamic historian's version which is based on the Qur'an and what eye-witnesses had reported, is, according to the Arab captives in Abraha's army, that a vast flock of small birds like swallows, carrying pebbles in their beaks darkened the sky and pelted them down upon the heads of Abraha's army causing deep puncture-like wounds killing many It is also said that at the same time for the first time in Arabia, the diseases of typhoid and smallpox appeared in Arabia affecting the whole army. Abraha himself suffered from smallpox, and remained alive only until he reached Yemen and died there. This is the theme mentioned in the holy Qur'an, Chapter 105 'Feel' (Elephant) as follows:
"Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant? Did He not cause their war to end in confusion, and send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks, casting stones of baked clay, so He rendered them like straw eaten up?"
There is a perfect harmony between what the Greek historian who is the original source of European version, and Islamic historians who have narrated this episode except that the Greek historian makes no mention of the birds. It needs no emphasis however, that the report of eye-witnesses would be far more reliable than the narration of a historian sitting hundreds of miles away from the scene of occurrence and above all the text of the holy Qur'an itself leaves no room for doubt.

Supermodel Liya Kebede in 'Desert Flower'

Supermodel Liya Kebede has starred in a new film which premiers this month called Desert Flower' Its based on the best seller book about the Somalian super model Waris Dirie's life in war torn Somalia and her FGM that she went through and her rise into a Supermodel status. She talks about the painful ritual of FGM which is practised in Somalia heavily and most Moslem countries around Africa. Liya Kebede is actually a good actress and she suprised me I've never heard her speak and I am looking forward to her starring in more films. This film highlights the backward custom of FGM and will hopefully raise awareness stop such a practice that has been passed on generations in rural African countries. People should not look at the film with an ignorant judgement and it doesnt mean everyone in africa has gone through this but it does happen and more work should be done to stop it.

Are Ethiopian girls hard to date openly?

There seems to be a lot of interest in trying to date other nationalities as we are becoming a more globalised world where nothing is out of reach anymore a lot of men especially African American and generally other nationalities cannot understand why East Africans stick to their own and only date people from their own country. Actually I will rephrase my answer they date other nationalities but always marry their own people. I understand a lot of African Americans and black British do not understand such blatant racism here is the biggest response to this at the end of the day whites will all group us as black anyway so why cant you all just date one another. People do not understand that Africa is not a Continent were black people with not much clothes on live in harmony mixing together. To the outsider they look the same eat the same food and dance the same so whats the difference. The answer couldn't be any different. African society is the most complex society dating centuries to the first man there are historical tribes that have lived side by side and can trace the original homeland country in Africa.

Tribalism

In an average african country there are at least say 50 tribes these tribes occasionally marry and mix together but its very rare and African society is composed on tribes and each tribes stick together and do all they can to preserve their own culture and identity and race. So and Angolan will not just marry any Angolan he/she will attempt to marry their own tribe. This whole attitude of Africans all looking the same and dividing up the Continent is what has continued to cause wars up until this day. East Africans are well known to be the most tribalistic of all people in Africa especially Ethiopians Somalians and Kenyans.

Now when I here why dont Ethiopians or East Africans marry other African countries or other races the whole tribalism and cultural upbringing of the young girl by her family is the reason why most choose not to date outside their race. They are conditioned to not to marry outside their own tribe let alone country. It doesn't matter if you have the same complexion as them they are tribalistic people and show allegiance to their ancestral home lands which their grandparents left generations ago. It may seem sad but that is the honest truth, there are lots of mixed raced marriages where I see a lot of Ethiopian women with white men or other races but it is hugely frowned on by the parents of the Ethiopian who accept it but would not necessarily have wished that for their son or daughter. I sort of feel sorry for mixed raced children as most who are half white generally could pass as white people therefore grow up accepting their white heritage more as they fit in more than their Ethiopian heritage. People are less willing to accept them as full bloodied Ethiopians, going back to the whole emphasis of tribalism and its influence, the term Kilis is used to refer to these people.
A friend of mine who is Kenyan hesitantly introduced her African American boyfriend to her relatives in America, after all he openly welcomed her into his families home and they were welcoming and lovely. She was so embarrassed when a concerned cousin asked him the most pathetic question of what do you think of hustlers? he didn't know what to answer and looked shocked. Since that day my friend does not want her family near him until they get married and even she doesn't want them at the wedding either and told me she might opt for a Las Vegas wedding.
There is no such thing as open dating in East African families this whole western culture of bringing the boyfriend or girlfriend in the family home is not accepted unless he decides to marry the daughter by bringing his best men and asking the elders of the family. Most African Americans or black British or other races feel offended when their East African girlfriend refuses to take her boyfriend to their parents house unless they wanted to be greeted with a black eye by the brothers and fathers of family; it just does not work and its a cultural thing that has been passed down. That does not mean Ethiopian girls don't date, they do indeed but they will not openly date and publish their relationship at every opportunity which is encouraged in western society.

King Menelik II the original durag wearing king

Proclaimed to be a descendant of the legendary Queen of Sheba and King Solomon, Menelik II was a dominant figure of his time in Africa and would be known as the King of Kings. He converted a group of independent kingdoms into the strong, stable empire known as the United States of Abyssinia, otherwise known as Ethiopia. His feat of pulling together several kingdoms, which often fiercely opposed each other, earned him a place as one of the great statesmen of African history. His further accomplishments in bringing Ethiopia into the twentieth century, coupled with his stunning victory over Italy in the 1896 Battle of Adwa, in their attempt to invade his country, placed him among the great leaders of world history and maintained his country's independence until 1935.
Menelik II was Emperor of Ethiopia from 1889 until his death in 1913. He was originally ras or ruler of Shoa in central Ethiopia. After the death in 1868 of Emperor Tewodros II, Menelik, with Italian support, gained steady strength. He seized the throne after Emperor Johannes IV died. In 1889, Menelik concluded the Treaty of Uccialli with Italy. However, when he learned that the Italian version of the treaty was different from his amharic version, essentially making Ethiopia a protectorate of Italy, he denounced the agreement. The Italian invasion that followed in 1895–96 was crushed by Menelik’s great victory near Adwa with great assistance from his wife Empress Taitu. Italy was forced to renounce all claim to Ethiopia and to pay an indemnity. Menelik took important steps to strengthen and modernize his domain. He made Addis Ababa his capital, constructed a railroad, attempted to end the slave trade, and curbed the feudal nobility. His conquests doubled the size of the country and brought the present day southern Ethiopia, which was largely Muslim, into the realm. Gradually his health failed, and the end of his reign was marked by intrigue and maneuvering for the succession due to his lack of a living male heir. He was succeeded as emperor by his grandson Lij Yasu.
It is interesting to note that a young man who in 1911 married Menelik's daughter Wayzaro Menen, was now working his way up in the ranks and would later become Ethiopia's last emperor, Haile Salassie.

Sheik Alamoudi Encourages Prostitution in Ethiopia?

I am yet to see any benefits this man has done for Ethiopia he seems to have vast reserves of our national Gold fields due to 'money talks bribing going on' has monopolised himself to only have his vast empire of company's under MIDROC that can be opened from soap to soft drinks to paint. The average Ethiopian business man cannot compete with his greedy coprate companies. The Ethiopians have no choice but to buy from the greedy already rich of a pervert fat man from Saudi Arabia.
He is also another BIG INTERNAL enemy of Ethiopia do you know how?

1) only opens self destructive alcohol binging night clubs so impressionable young women who are poverty stricken can flock to him for one night stands in exchange for cash.

2) He has organised a prostitution trade from Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia he brings his fellow fat wealthy Arabs along to Ethiopia so he can indulge is illicit porn with poor young women from poor families who see this as an easy way out. Leading these young girls in a bad route to continue being high class hookers for Arabs.

3) He participates in multiple marriages in exchange for land or money and encorouges poor people to sell their daughters. He flaunts his wealth and money in front of starving Ethiopians who work for pennies in his giant enterprise. He never donates any money to charity in Ethiopia that would help the Ethiopian people in a positive way only gives cash in exchange for his 100th wife.


4) He is dirty piece of trash that deserves to be swallowed up by an earth quake and melt in hell and does not deserve to be called Ethiopian and is the biggest internal enemy of Ethiopia. When the next dictator comes along I hope the Sheraton Hotel in addis can be changed into a homeless shelter for the needy, I'm sure he would be very happy to see them sleeping on marble floors for a change.

Ethiopia's Internal Enemies

Ethiopia has had enemies for centuries ranging from Persians to Romans to Arabs to 19th Century European colonists. For centuries Ethiopia has defended itself from these foreign attackers, lately Ethiopia's enemies are more home grown internal enemies. Who are these internal enemies what do they want from Mother Ethiopia? Well its quite hard to state but these internal enemies are enemies of the state. Enemies that are running Ethiopia are turning its back on the constitution performing selfish deeds and acts to benefit their own pockets rather than the country and the people that live there. These internal enemies are trying to wipe Ethiopia's past glory to lower the nations cultural esteem and awareness. These internal enemies who are in power are walking on the graves of Ethiopia's martyrs and warriors who died for their country defending it and preventing slavery by doing the opposite. Allowing foreigners to buy Ethiopian land and selling our children and young women to work as slaves to the hated Arab countries who despised us then and still do now. Why are these internal enemies playing with fire and giving a chance for these external enemies to also have a go at Ethiopia? We will never know what their agenda is but as long as people know who the real enemies of Ethiopia are the better. These internal enemies of Ethiopia are enemies of people who love Ethiopia and care about the direction it is going they would rather side with enemies of Ethiopia and to join their little club you have to participate in selfish un patriotic deeds and destructive acts that will harm Ethiopia. Separatism and identity by ethnic is encouraged and racist actions and beliefs of other races is encouraged not as brotherly united Ethiopians. Hard lined fanatical fascism is encouraged and racism is upholded and brutal mafia like operations of the economy is also encouraged. The only people who can benefit form Ethiopia are only people who self hate and burn the Ethiopian flag and foreigners who can step in and abuse the country after all they have and will always be enemies of Ethiopia.

Suicide Amongst Black Men?

It seems more and black men are committing suicide or are prone to depression or mental illness in the UK. It may be because they have stereo-type to uphold or put on them by media and peers generally that they have to be a strong black man face anything view that is thrown at them from ugly racism from school to work place to baby mamas and wives and nagging women. I think people in the mental health sector overlook their problems view it as drug related and slip through the net from getting any help whats over and in the worst scenario end up committing suicide. The continual police harassment does not help either and may trigger a feeling of worthlessness and depression. The thing is more young black guys should be aware that suicide is happening in their community and if they know a particular person is down they should be willing to open up and ask for help and not care if its a sign of weakness as the problem will get bigger and bigger. If poor Joe blogs killed him selve most youths would say oh he hanged himself then the conversation would not continue as feelings of guilt kicks in as they could have spoke to the person and asked him if he was ok. The worst part of it all is most people that commit suicide are the loud sociable characters who put on a front to the world how happy they are, but really are dying inside. But it makes you wonder what the signs are? Some people are really good at hiding their feelings so you will never know. There is a saying the crazy man who talks to himself is not really crazy after all hes letting it out, the craziest people are the ones who keep it inside and the words ringing round their head and putting on happy face. Most men are trained to retain their emotions especially Ethiopian/Eritrean men which I will go in more detail in the next paragraph. All those emotions in one person can not be healthy and must act like a pressure cooker. Men need to open up and cry if they must damn just let it out. Its sad that in this day and age they are conditioned to wear the same clothes date the same type of woman and act macho by slaying a few slow runners from another area.

Habesha Men
It is becoming more and more common for most Habesha men killing themselves in western countries its absolutely shocking. Now most Abesha men are brought up to be successful and put up with a whole lot of crap from society. Generally the way we are raised is different and there is no such thing as mental illness its associated with the devil. These young men have no one to turn to they are not familiar with the mental health service and do not even themselves that that they need help so refuse to get help. Too many young men are giving up and killing themselves. Abesha men work hard in the work force and employers know this and exploit them due to their culture and are less willing to complain and put up with a lot of crap especially work bullying. This can be a factor if the young man does not have a family in the UK and is supporting his family abroad who he sends money regularly. The pressure could be too much for them to handle again they bear it and carry on someone should tell them they need to take time out and look after their needs. Relationships could also be daunting them, demanding in laws and the wife who is rather concerned about helping her relatives than realise if her husband is not ok. What is also terrible is after the poor an kills himself how the family sweep it under the carpet and keep a hush hush how he died.

I think in both situations these poor young guys should be given some sort of information that there will be people out there who will make your life hell either in the work place or generally the lack of care from people but generally in most cities that is how it is. These people must be willing to seek help complain moan if they have to get heard. Don't keep it all in and face anxiety, there is nothing worse. Whatever is bothering them they should feel happy to let someone know who knows your close friend may also be going through it but is too busy putting on a front like a clown.

Ancient Egyptians Were Black

What has seriously annoyed me is the continued racist historians claim to discredit Africa's ancient glory from its present day black people. I don't know if these people seriously believe that black people really believe the crap that they present to the world about their wrong wrong theories and evidence. They really need to stop I can understand in the old days when this rubbish about Ancient Egyptians being white who have blond hair, as a way of discrediting the Africans that were being sold to the new world so they can accept their lowly status as a slave and work hard in the plantation fields. However slavery has been abolished now and recently in the 1980's in Saudi Arabia, so give up to these absurd theories you are not fooling anyone. The funny thing is they know the truth themselves, yet they seem to lie to their teeth backed by bogus evidence. Its a well known fact the first human being was African, Ethiopian to be precise the ancient Egyptians have always identified themselves as coming from the source of the nile river down south and have identified the Ethiopians as being of the same race, hence the paintings on tombs suggest they look like modern day Ethiopians and Somalians. Who are black without a doubt are they colour blind?. Now these closet racist historians come up with an explanation that people of the horn of Africa are not black they're just white people with brown skin and are not from Africa their just dark arabs. Here's my answer you grey haired no good for nothing dividing old people, who do nothing all day but dig in the sands in central/north Africa and discover a so called blond mummy. Have you ever seen a tall Arab with sturdy legs like Usain Bolt and Kenenisa? I think not! For some reason historians think that in Ancient Africa, Africans were confined in the modern day colonial borders, let me tell you something those borders didn't exist. Only the borders between Egypt and Sudan existed the rest of Africa was joined up with Ethiopia as one big country. Historians also refuse to believe that Africans travel all over Africa considering the short distance, they refused to accept that Africans mixed with the Ancient Egyptians who are also Africans duh. I mean it is accepted the Anglo Saxons arrived from Germany to England and even further the Romans invaded Britain and mixed with the natives. For some reason the world believes Ancient Egypt was shut off from its African neighbours as if they were surrounded by walls as large the Great Wall of China. These racist historians also feel that Africans were not intelligent enough to use boats to cross a tiny tiny channel the red sea to attack/trade Arabia and set up colonies there, no Africans are afraid of water they just stayed in the jungle with the animals. Ancient Kushites travelled as far as India and Asia and traded with them and set up villages hence why so south Asians look black, but for some reason historians seem to refuse to accept this too. Africans according to them are not sophisticated and are only associated with slavery. Another interesting thing Historians seem to state is that ancient mummy's they find have hair that ranged from blond and red. Hmm here's my explanation, imagine you just been lying in a coffin for 3000 years would your once glittering black hair still be black? common sense people no it will lose the colour gradient and change to a dusty brown or cream.

Land of Frankincense and Myrrh aka land of Punt Ethiopia/Somalia

The Frankincense Trail,

The BBC have a show called the frankincense trail which I find very interesting, however the ancient Frankincense and Myrrh trail went around Arabia and Egypt but somehow the BBC forgot to mention the two countries where the best frankincense is found and even the ancient name was called Punt Land where the Ancient Egyptians got their supply, present day Ethiopia and Somalia. The lovely blond presenter who I remember her being in a gardening program was desert hopping around Arabia chilling with sheiks and smelling different Arab incense. Her and her crew travelled from Oman to Yemen to Saudi Arabia to Egypt somehow crossed to Sinai followed by Jordan then to Israel. Now it could be coincidentally only Arab oil producing countries that are allowed to be featured on the program but who knows, how could they feature all those countries without going to Ethiopia? Where the Axum empire main export was frankincense plus a few lions and gold and spices? Somalia's main export was punt across to Arabia all the way to the India. If the camera crew can visit Saudi Arabia how you not going to visit Ethiopia the most tourist friendly country with a well known airline called Ethiopian Airlines which has been running since the 1950's. Now I can understand the TV crew not wanting to visit Somalia's Mogadishu as they don't want be held ransom, but they could have gone to the semi-autonomous region of Hargesia where the port is the historical port of punt land Incense, its as if the crew deliberately avoided Ethiopia and Somalia as they don't want to be giving those countries any positive news feature Barack Obama is enough for the black people coincidentally is from East Africa Kenya. I watched it today and it featured the Egyptian Coptic Church celebrating Mariam, I was moved by this and would love to visit the spot in Southern Egypt where the Virgin and Jesus passed through when they escaped from Bethlehem. The blond presenter then highlighted how the Egyptian Copts use frankincense which the Ethiopian Orthodox church also use and have more access to better more quality frankinsence. The Ethiopian Coptic church and the Egyptian Coptic Church were connected since the form of the Christianity and only split in the 1950's when the Ethiopian Coptic Orthodox Church appointed their own bishop. But those two churches are historically linked I'm sure incense was easily transferred to Egypt from Ethiopia when the Ethiopian Church was linked with the Egyptian church. The Islamification of Egypt further isolated the Ethiopian Coptic Church thus retaining their ancient byzantine coptic chritianity..

After watching the program I got into my kitchen and started raiding my cupboard for the jar of myrrh from Ethiopia my mother gave me. I remember telling her I don't want the smelly yellow frankincense which is common around Arabia and is associated with an Arab smell of Oud. Frankincense is the the cheaper incense which no one in Ethiopia uses unless its for everyday church services, where there wouldn't be any point in wasting the good myrrh from Ethiopia and Somalia. The good crystaly incence is used for Saint days and holiday celebrations. As I heated the charcoal on the gas cooker and put it on the ash tray as I remembered how my nephew broke the special incence burner shaped in the Lalibella church design. I placed two pieces of the light crystal coloured resin and left the bad bits, the resin crackled as it touched the heat of the charcoal. Then the most gorgeous smoke arose just like geenie would out of a lamp, I cant describe the smell but it is more beautiful than any designer perfume out there. Its silky and gorgeous and I can see why the Axum Empire made such a rich fortune out this wonderful smell for thousands of years.

A Brave Diaspora Who Went Back To Ethiopia to Sort The Economy.

Her name is Eleni Zaude Gabre-Madhin, PhD She established the Ethiopian Commodity exchange where she encourages farmers to bring their stock to a central location. Too many of farmers are split apart around the country and do not know the market they produce food to survive, any surplus is then sold which means there is a high demand for food for the city dwellers hence why the food prices are high. Now I'm no expert in economy, but I do have some common sense. I am extremely proud of this young woman named Eleni. She was brought up and educated in America has a PHD, she could be working in New York in her cushy office, yet she decided to use her expertise and knowledge to help her people in Ethiopia. This woman had to face a hurdle to set this thing up, people who set up business in Ethiopia are branded government supporters. Just because you aim to help your people and use your knowledge does not mean your politically involved. Ethiopians need to stop grouping people up saying you are this your are that you are involved in it for the money. Get real at least people like her are making a difference to those poor peoples lives, rather than sitting on your asses complaining all day. What have you done for the Ethiopian people lately? did you even send some money home some books? If you haven't then shut the hell up. I regularly send books and items that I know would be of help to people I know living in Ethiopia. Its good to share and I think its about time the Diaspora do something bigger and send themselves back home, with their big ideas to make Ethiopia a better place.

To get out of agriculture and transform into a modern industrial state, Ethiopian agriculture must become increasingly productive so that labor can shift into other sectors. Profitability depends on whether there is a market where the product can be sold reliably and efficiently. Understandably, farmers hate risk. In addition to weather and production risks due to pests, crop disease, and other vagaries of nature, farmers also face the risk that there is no buyer, that they can’t access the market or it is too costly to do so, that prices are unknown or will drop, or that they won’t get paid. These very real market risks and costs prevent them from making the investments they need to make to be more productive. So they are stuck in a vicious cycle, producing at low yields, mostly for themselves, which is why only 25% of total agricultural production reaches the market. Farmers are not the only people whose livelihood is constrained by the market. If they are unable to get the supply of raw commodity delivered to them when they need it or prices fluctuate or the quality is unreliable, industrial processors, such as flour factories or biscuit or oil manufacturers, routinely incur higher costs because they are unable to utilize their machinery at full capacity and are thus discouraged from expanding their production. Similarly, commodity exporters who have contracted with international buyers face the terrible risk of not being able to make their shipment on time if they are unable to get the supply in time or in the right quality. To avoid this risk, they often are forced to tie up their capital holding large inventories, which means they can’t readily expand their business. So there is a real market problem, and it is faced by many actors on all sides of the market. And this problem constrains our economic growth. How does ECX provide a solution? ECX is a neutral third party, providing service to the market in four major ways. First, ECX certifies the quality of the commodity to be sold and holds it in warehouse on behalf of the seller, thus guaranteeing the quality, quantity, and delivery of the commodity to the buyer of that commodity. This price transparency helps everyone to plan their commercial actions better and thus make better deals. Having a reliable market system helps farmers produce more, expands our industrial base, increases our exports, and enhances our food security because commodities reach the areas where they are most needed faster and at lower cost. That is why commodity exchanges are part and parcel of most advanced and more recently emerging economies around the globe, starting with the best known US commodity exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, started in 1848 for precisely the same reasons why our farmers and others in Ethiopia and our economy as a whole would benefit from an organized market.

Bless her she seems to be really anxious to please those Ethiopians who hate change or anything new and she seems to be really nice about it. I am surprised she has not flipped and given by now, as that is what the people in Ethiopia make you do when you try and start a business. Through the bureaucracy and negativity it can really put you off going back to Ethiopia. Who oh who are the so called IAAF? They resemble a couple of old Nazi's sitting in a drawing board coming up with the most stupid excuse why a person is winning all the gold medals. They are a disgrace and should show their face in public, they cannot hide behind closed doors making racist accusations and demand an athlete goes through gender examination, just because she does not have a weave and has thunder thighs! hmmmm I recall most female athletes, well the good ones have thunder thighs due to real training. If they expect the female athletes to be dainty and pretty, I suggest they join ballet; or even do something equally stupid and dated called synchronised swimming. Its an absolute disgrace that the South African athlete had to go through a gender test because she was manly, if so why didnt Martinez Navratilova take one too? After they discovered the SA runner was a woman, they then decided that she has extreme levels of testosterone to back up their ridicules demand of a gender test. This accusation echoes when Hitler refused to shake Jesse Owens hand when he won Gold in the Berlin Olympics in the 1930's. The founder of Nazism Hitler, refused to shake Jesse Owens hand and walked off, his argument was it was cheating as Africans are not fully human. The IAAF are very close to declaring their fascist origins they might as well come out with it. With their countless rubbish for defending the losers, who have lots of money being spent on them to win, but end up losing because they are crap. Do you think the IAAF stopped with pseudo-racism? they then demanded to ban cross country racing as Africans especially Ethiopia and Kenya keep winning all the gold medals. They win because they train hard and deserve it! when will they stop these racist demands, and accept those athletes from rich countries are sore losers and money does not necessarily win you medals?

This man is such a humble respected legend and an amazing sportsman, he really deserves a lot of exposure and some real sponsorship. Usain Bolt is the face of Puma, Kenenisa should be the face and body of Addidas. Kenenisa is the son of a farmer in Ethiopias Arsi region, his father Bekele did not want him to be a runner. He wanted him to become a civil servant, of course his father must be very proud of his double gold winning champion of a son now and so is the world and Ethiopia. Part 1: His Family
CHRISTIANITY IN ETHIOPIA
"And the Angel of the Lord spoke unto Philip, saying, "Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert". He arose and went."
"And, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet".
Philip baptized that eunuch after he told him about Jesus, his incarnation, his crucifixion and his ascension. The eunuch transferred this faith to his country, but some of the Jewish traditions remained.
By the beginning of the 4th century, Bishop "Athnasious" ordained "Fromenteuos" as a Bishop over Ethiopia and was called Bishop "Salama". The holy secrets were taken to Ethiopia, and since then the Ethiopian church is affiliated to Saint Marc's church in Alexandria.

THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY
In the 13th century, a Christian family lived in Ethiopia; the husband who was a priest and loved Jesus very much was called "Sagaz Ab" (=the gift of faith), and the wife who was very rich and loved the poor was called "Sarah".
Their patron saint was the Archangel "Michael", and they used to make a feast for him on the 12th of every Coptic month by having a mass and after that a banquet for the poor.
The wife was sterile and that was why she always prayed to God for a child. "Sarah" used to spend her time in church, busy reading the bible and the psalms. She did her best with the poor and they called her "Agzaharia" (=the choice of God).
One day "Sarah" thought of giving their money to the poor and liberating their slaves, and she told "Sagaz Ab" this, hence they did that.

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL THE PATRON SAINT
After many years of peace, a pagan called "Motmely" ruled the land of "Damoot" and "Shawa". He closed many churches and tried to revive the worship of idols.
One day "Talanece" (the place where "Sagaz Ab" and "Sarah" lived) was attacked. When the soldiers entered the country, "Sarah" was frightened and the people ran away from place to another.
"Sagaz Ab" took a route to hide and was followed by a soldier who wanted to kill him, until they reached a nearby lake, so "Sagaz Ab" threw himself in the lake to hide from the soldier asking the Archangel Michael to help him through this. At once he felt the water over him as if it’s a tent sheltering him, and the Archangel appeared to strengthen him. And when "Sagaz Ab" did not show up for a long time, the soldier thought he was drowned and went back.
The Archangel told "Sagaz Ab" that the soldier went away and hence he got out of the lake. At that time the Archangel Michael told "Sagaz Ab" that he was saved because of his child to be. He told him of great secrets about the child and carried him back to the town, and this was on 12th of Baramhat.
When the priest went back, he found that all the houses had been stolen either of money or of people. Among the latter was his wife "Sarah" who was kidnapped by the soldiers who wanted to give her as a present to their king "Montemely".
When the king saw the face of the saint "Agzaharia", he ordered for the richest clothes and precious jewels for her, and to be kept in the city of gods until their wedding.
"Sagaz Ab" was in great misery and sadness for what happened to his wife whom he loved very much, and was afraid of the evil king, but he went to the house of God at once. He went into the church and kneeled before the Holy Alter and cried and sobbed a lot while he prayed to God to save his wife.

"SARAH" AND THE ANGEL
On the 22nd of Baramhat, "Sagaz Ab" was having a mass and he put his wife's name "Sarah" forward to God, and all the congregation prayed for her. While he was moving around the church he saw a woman in precious clothes praying in great fear and awe to God.
When he finished he went to talk to all the new faces that came to the church, and among them this woman. He asked her where she was from, she told him that she had heard of a man called "Sagaz Ab" whose wife was taken and kidnapped and hence she came to be his wife! Then the priest crossed and told her that priests do not remarry, and that God would protect his wife and would return her safely to him.
"Sarah" smiled happily for her husband's faith and told him she was his wife and took off the veil that covered his face. Her husband was surprised and asked her how she had come. She told him that the Angel had saved her and got her to the church. The two kneeled before God in the church and thanked Him for his protection. In the evening all the congregation came when they heard of the return of "Sarah" and they all prayed glorifying God for his great love.
Then she told him that she prayed for her safety, and Michael, the Archangel came to her to tell her that she would return for the sake of her son. When the wedding ceremony started and finished, and the people congratulated the king, there was lightening and thunder. The king got mad and the angel saved her and got her to the church.
At night "Sagaz Ab" had a dream where he saw the sun and a lot of stars in their bedroom and the next day the Archangel told them of the coming of their son.
In the morning they gave most of all they had to the poor and they used to make a feast for the archangel every month on the 12th of Kiahk.On the 24th of Kiahk, "Sarah" gave birth to a beautiful son and called him "The happiness of Sehioun", or " The happiness of the churches". There were many miracles done by him; like when he talked when he was only 3 days old. He was baptized on his 40th day.
After a year and a half, there was a terrible famine that his parents couldn't make the following feast for Michael the Archangel. One day, the mother was praying to God so that she could do anything for the feast of the Archangel. While she was carrying her baby, he wiped her tears and pointed to the kitchen where some flour in a plate were present. He put his hands in the flour and it poured and poured, that the mother gathered every container she had in the house. And the same happened with the ghee, oil and honey. This was on the 12th of Baramhat.
God also gave him the gift of studying the psalms and the Holy Bible. One night Michael, the Archangel appeared to Pope "Kyrillos" of "Ethiopia" in a dream, and told him that the next day a dark colored man would go to him, and would kneel before him. That man had a blessed son, and he was chosen for heaven and he was great before God.. "Consecrate him as a Deacon, then leave him go peacefully", he said.
After this was done while the father and the son were returning, the son asked a group of people for a place to spend the night. One of the group insulted him and hit him without cause. The son shouted asking the help of the Archangel and the man was greatly harmed. The son couldn't bear that because he was full of the Holy Spirit, and he prayed for the man to be cured and the angel cured him, so he believed in God and all his friends and family.
While the son and the father were getting back, (after spending the night at "Amhara") their water was finished and the food became less; so the saint prayed aside and God then created a spring so they could drank from.
The saint's parents wanted him to get married, but he refused because he dedicated himself completely to God. So they accepted, but the girl stayed with them at their home (according to the traditions at these countries), but she stayed a virgin as she wished too.. Part 4: His Priesthood
Then he became a priest and his prayers and fasting increased. He stayed with his father until his mother passed away on the 12th of Mesra. Then his father passed away too.
One day while he was practicing his hobby of hunting in the woods, God appeared to him held on the wings of angels saying: "I am your God who protected you since your childhood… Now you hunt people instead of animals. From now your name will be "Takla Hemanoat"." Then the heavenly insight disappeared.
"KETANA" BELIEVES IN CHRIST
The saint heard that in "Ketana" the people worship a tree that is haunted by a devil which they fear. They were also controlled by a group of magicians. So he went there and prayed until the devil cried out: "Send Takla Hemanoat away. He is dangerous". Then the saint asked for the help of the Archangel and hence asked the tree to follow him. Its roots made a sound like thunder while it was moving and a lot of people were afraid and the roots killed a lot on the road. The devil shouted asking the saint why he was torturing him and if it wasn't enough that he left the land of "Talanes"? The saint asked the devil to confess before all the people that he was cheating and to tell them who the real God is, so the devil confessed that Jesus Christ is the real God.
The saint started preaching the people and they were all baptized. They were 111,500. They constructed a church and had their communion. As for the people who were killed by the devil; Saint Takla prayed to God to arise them from the dead. God answered his prayers. The saint baptized about 60,000 people and all "Ketana" became Christians..
While the saint was devoted to praying and fasting in the desert, he heard a voice calling him 3 times asking him to go to "Damout" because there are many people there who needed preaching. Saint Takla was asked to build a church under the name of Virgin Mary there.
While he was on his way to "Damout", Saint Takla Haymanot was haunted by many devils and he crossed himself to force them away. When he got there, he started breaking all the statues that the people worship.
The saint knew that the son of the prince was haunted by a devil; so he prayed for him and the devil got out in the shape of a monkey. The prince believed in Christ and was baptized along with his wife and son. Saint Takla was able to cure a lot of diseases and got out devils by praying to God.
When king "Montemly" heard that Saint Takla baptized his son, he was very sad and sent his soldiers to the prince to extradite Saint Takla, but the prince refused. So the king sent more soldiers to get the prince and the saint.
When they reached the king, they were tortured a lot, but God's angel cured them. Then they were thrown in a cave full of monsters, but again God's angel got them out safely. Then the king himself tried to throw a spear at Saint Takla, but his hand was paralyzed and he cried of pain. The king then ordered the two men to be hanged on two trees. But when the saint was hanged by the neck in the tree, it bent till the saint's feet reached the ground, and there were holy lights from heaven and people saw angels… All this happened till the king at last believed in God and was baptizedThen one day Jesus Christ appeared to the saint and told him to go to the land of "Amhara" and stay in its monastery until He talks to him again and told him that Michael the Archangel would be with him.
On his way to the land of "Amhara", Saint Takla met a monk and they both went to the monastery on a holy cloud prepared by God till they reached there in two days instead of several months.
When the saint was known all over the place, he asked God to protect him from pride, so Michael the Archangel appeared to him and told him to go to the monastery of "Saint Stephans". On the way he saw a deep river that he couldn't cross, so an angel appeared to him and asked him to follow him on the surface of the water. The angel disappeared and the saint appeared as if he was walking on land, until he reached the other side. He lived there in great awe; always praying and fasting.
One night God showed him the happiness and the glory of the saints in heaven and he became very happy; specially that he always remembered and imagined the souls of the saints.
From there Saint Takla Hemanoat got out to the land of the "Fakharany" with the guidance of the angel. He went there to a saint monk called "John" and remained there under his guidance for 12 years in the monastery of "Adgway".
The angel appeared to the saint and asked him to go to a cave down the valley. The saint said goodbye to the head monk of the monastery and all the monks went out to see him off. The monks were used to tying whoever gets down with a rope (since the monastery was on top of a hill). While Saint Takla was going down, the rope was cut and the monks were terrified, but they saw six wings getting out from his sides, and carried him until he reached the ground. The monks got back glorifying God for his greatness and for protecting his people.

THE ANCHORITE OF SAINT TAKLA'S
Our saint got down to a big desert, and he found there many saints who were used to fasting for five days and do not eat any food; but they were used to eating from the desert plants and drink from the dew drops on Saturdays and Sundays. He visited many monasteries and churches and he was very keen on visiting Jerusalem, so he went there and saw where Jesus was baptized.
Then the angel of God appeared to Saint Takla telling him to go to the land of "El-Sofan" where his grave would be, and there he should build a church bearing his name.

SAINT TAKLA'S LAST DAYS
He last settled in the land of "Shawiry" where he built his well-known monastery known as "Elbianos". Many people followed him and became Monks. He exerted a lot of effort in praying and fasting and kneeling before God. He even used to pray standing on one foot; the right one, until his leg was broken! His monks took it and covered it. He never got out of his cave, but remained there till his death. When Saint Takla's days came to an end, and his body turned like a burned piece of wood, God appeared to him and told him that he would die of plague, and he would go to heaven with three of his followers.
When it was time for him to die, he got sick of the plague as well as three other monks. He saw God, Virgin Mary and many angels headed by the Archangel Michael.. And his cave was lighted with heavenly light, and it was full of a nice scent and his soul was carried to heaven. This was on 24th of Mesra, at the age of 99 years and 8 months.
His followers took his body and mummified it and he was buried in his cave. He remained there outside the monastery for 56 years. In the 57th year, Saint Takla Hemanoat appeared to Pope "Hezkial" (who was "Elishah", his follower) and told him to move his body to the monastery, and he did.
There was a great celebration and the saint told them of a sign that after they carry his body around the alter three times, the lamp would light by its own, and when that happened, everybody was happy. While the people were touring with the body of the saint, a man was tripped over by the people because it was crowded. His leg was broken; but once he touched the body of the saint, he was cured and went walking as if nothing happened. Saint Takla's body was buried under the alter in the church that bears his name in the monastery of "Libanous" in "Shawa".
